My garage door motor had gone out. I purchased a new garage door opener thinking I should replace it myself. After removing the old garage door opener I realized it was more complex then I had anticipated. I read good reviews for All Pro so I called them and scheduled an appointment. They showed up on time, were very professional, and completed the job promptly. What I was most impressed with is the fact that they only needed to replace a few components that i had removed (motor and arm); however, instead they replaced every component with the new parts that came with the garage door opener I had purchased (including the cables and sensors), very thorough!

Everything is working fine now. They came when they were supposed to come. They did what they were supposed to do. They were clean and they were polite. They cleaned up very well which was important to me. They swept up and took all the old parts and boxes away, which were greatly appreciated, and they were on their way. The garage door spring had become detached from the garage wall and the door could not be raised. The repair consisted of attaching a block of wood to the wall studs and then attaching the spring to the block. He also re-tensioned the cables and oiled the hinges and spring. The service was done quickly and the garage door is now functioning fine.

I called the office at 7.30 am on a Monday and received a quote which seemed reasonable from quotes for similar work described on Angie’s List and I accepted. Service was scheduled for 12.30 pm the same day. The technician, Jamie, arrived close to the scheduled time and got straight to work and completed the replacement of the springs, adjustments, and lube in less than an hour. I said we had had a problem with the remotes not activating the drive unit consistently and he quickly traced this to what appeared to be loose or disconnected wiring in the controller. All in all, Jamie was very efficient, personable and courteous to me and my wife. We would certainly use this company again.

Service person arrived right when indicated. When he arrived both garage doors did not open correctly and one did not close correctly. In addition they were running un-smooth. Service person lubed parts, balanced both doors, and adjusted tracks. He then tested both doors a handful of times. Both garage doors are now opening and closing smoothly.I would use them again.This is the first time I have had the garage doors adjusted and I have been in the house close to 5 years and the doors have never worked better so I expect the doors not to need adjusting for quite a while.

All Pro performed a tune up my double steel sectional garage door and Genie screw drive opener, which was squeaking and “bouncing” to the point that it took about seven iterations yesterday to actually make the door stay closed. The technician replaced the limit switch,tightened the hardware, lubricated the moving parts, adjusted force controls and fixed the bent track.they also honored the Angie’s List coupon for $20.I should have called All Pro months ago before I started dragging out the ladder to make adjustments myself. People on the phone were extremely easy to talk with about my “it’s not really broken, but it’s entirely unreliable” problem. After I called at 11 am, they booked an appointment for the same day for 3 to 3:30 arrival, which worked well with my schedule. The office called shortly before 1 pm to let me know the tech was running about 1 hr behind, so couldn’t arrive before 4 pm. The change worked well for me, so I ran a few more errands. Right after 4pm, the office called again to let me know the tech was by the garage in my alley — great move, considering I have dogs too excited about people coming to the front door. The tech was professional, courteous, quick and didn’t comment about all the garage junk he had to work around.This was a very easy transaction, which I should have done sooner,the door works like new!

We initially went to the company’s showroom on Clairemont Mesa Blvd. to select the style of door we wanted. They were very helpful and explained each style of door and had several full size samples in the showroom. The estimator showed up on time and gave us an estimate that I found reasonable since I had already done quite a bit of research on the Internet. The day of the installation, the worker (I believe his name was Mike) showed up on time, and did great work. He removed and disposed of the old wooden door and replaced it with an automatic roll up door. They also replaced some of the wood around the garage door opening that had rotted away. After he was done, he took the time to explain everything to us. Even though it was a hot day and he had spent the whole day working, when he was done he took the time to explain how everything worked, how to maintain it and answered all of our questions. He did not act like he was in a big hurry even though I know he must have been tired and wanted to leave. His biggest concern seemed to be that we were satisfied. I would use this company again. They did a professional job and had great customer service.

My wooded garage door was wearing out, so I had this company install a new steel sectional double size garage door. They have many styles and colors to choose from. Then they came out to remove my old wooden garage door and install a brand new double door. They changed the springs and also altered the garage door frame just to make it fit perfectly. Afterwards, they hooked up the garage door opener. Very pleased with the workmanship.

I called 3 garage door companies to give me quotes on replacing a garage door that was opening “on its own”. All-Pro understood the problem and diagnosed what was causing it (the other two companies did not). They gave me a price over the phone (one company refused to do so and would only give me an estimate if they came out — for which they would charge me). I wanted a specific brand of equipment, which they stocked and installed. I thought I needed a 3/4 hp motor, but they explained a 1/2 hp motor would be more than adequate (also less expensive). Another company just gave me a price for a 3/4 hp, and didn’t inquire into my needs. I was impressed with All-Pro’s knowledge of the current brand I had, the problems this particular brand had experienced in the past, and my need for increased security. They scheduled the installation for a date reasonably quickly. The installation was smooth and professional. I would highly recommend this company.

I backed into our garage door and bent the hinge on one side. Another company said I would have to replace the entire garage door ($1500). But Dave found a way to fix it for $70, which was perfect! Dave came out soon after I called, assessed the situation, and fixed it on the spot. He did explain that I could buy new door/hinges if I wanted, but was more than willing to just repair it.He also made sure the tracks were well-adjusted.

Dave, the technician had to move a lot of moving boxes before he could even begin the repair. Our garage door opener was not dependable. My husband called All Pro and a serviceman came out the same day. He was professional in dress, manner, and knowledge. He had to get a part and returned the next day. In all, he installed a new garage door opener, repaired another garage door, and programed our existing garage door openers so that we could use one opener to open two different door whereas we had been using two openers. I may have given too much detail, but the main point is that both garage doors open now and I am very happy.

They’re very nice & good. I’ve been told before that my ceiling was too low to accommodate an automatic garage door. However, this technician came out & told me, no it’s possible but just a lot harder! They came out & did a very good job. One person came out & spent all day in my garage working on the installation. My old Lift-Master garage door opener started making loud noise. So I decided to replace it with Lift-Masters Elite Series 3850 DC Motor Belt Drive Opener with battery backup. I called and got quotes from several garage door companies which had received good reviews on Angie’s List. I was very impressed by Paul, the owner of the company, who answered my call and was very knowledgeable about the Lift-Master products. His quote was reasonable as well. So I decided to hire Paul’s company to do the job. Paul sent Dave to install the opener for me. Dave called me 45 minutes before he arrived to give me time to get home. Dave removed the old opener and installed the new opener very professionally. The new opener was very quiet. I was very pleased with the work Dave had done. After we had used the new opener for a couple of weeks, my wife noticed that there was always a loud noise when the garage door was initially lifted by the opener. Then the opener opened and closed the garage door smoothly and quietly. I called Paul who sent Dave to take a look at the issue in the same day. Dave arrived even before I got home. He checked the door and told me that the noise had nothing to do with the new opener. Dave adjusted the metal piece holding the door to reduce the noise. The service was free of charge. I have worked with several garage door companies in the past. This was by far the best garage door company. Paul was a very nice guy. Dave was the best technician whom I have ever worked with. He was professional, polite, and very helpful. I recommend All-Pro Quality Garage Door highly.

Our garage door stopped opening. So we needed it fixed. We have a premium wood garage door installed by Access Garage Doors years ago. Naturally, when it stopped opening we called Access to fix it. They wanted to charge us $100 just to come to our house and look at the problem. The fixes, they explained would run into the thousands of dollars. We just didn’t believe it so we called All-Pro, Dave from All-Pro diagnosed the problem in a matter of minutes. I called in thinking that I needed a new garage door opener, as we had recently purchased an older home and had been having problems with the garage door remote. I tried replacing the battery, which didn’t help, then I tried buying a new remote, but my husband was unable to program it correctly. This garage door opener service company is a real breath of fresh air for us homeowners. I called this company after finding them on Angie’s List , and spoke with Paul, its owner/operator. After speaking with him over a few phone calls, he quickly explained that the screw drive traveler (or the steel beam platform that connects to and moves the garage door) was probably stripped out from nearly 12 years of use. I asked him how much a site visit by his repairman would cost, he said nearly $80. But, what happened next was indeed unique: he proposed that I buy the part off the shelf and he would tell me how to fix the garage door myself!

Well, since I have been out of work for most of this year so far, and money is tight, I took him up on his proposal. I drove to his Kearny Mesa storefront, and he showed me on a mockup display, just what to unbolt, move and replace to get the new traveler in place. After buying the part, I headed for home. After finding a friend to stand on a ladder at the motor end of the screw drive garage door drive beam as a safety precaution, I removed the one bolt holding on the end of the beam that attached it to the wall support. I slide the traveler all the way toward this bolt location but it would not come off. So I tried lifting the beam higher and sideways but that did not work either. I noticed that that whoever installed the unit, ran the drive’s beam too close to the large lifting door spring so it could not clear it.

So, I remembered that the original installers had hung the motor end with plumber’s tape extensions (real stupid) but I replaced them with heavy duty rigid A-frame struts. So, I realized the only direction left to move the beam to get the traveler off the beam was inline with the beam itself. So with my friend pulling the beam toward the motor end, I got the last 1/2″ of clearance to remove and replace the traveler. Success! My garage door works like new again! Thanks to Paul for all of his repair pointers and helping out a homeowner.

Next time I have a garage door opener problem, the next phone call is to Paul at All-Pro Quality Garage Doors!

I recently moved and returned to my previous home for general maintenance. I closed the door and one spring broke. I raised the door with difficulty to get my car out and drive home. I scheduled a spring replacement with All Pro the next week when I planned to return to the home. All Pro called me to confirm their arrival in 20 minutes, and arrived few minutes prior to schedule. They replaced the springs and lubricated the door rollers. Although the opener worked properly for many years it did not function properly when tested after the repair. All Pro adjusted the stops and cleaned the contacts which corrected the problem.The job took approximately one hour.
